Established in fall of 2001, with the acquisition of Lennox Fuels, Bird Fuels began operating in the Collingwood and Owen Sound area. By the fall of 2003, as we built solid relationships with our customers, Bird Fuels experienced rapid growth and thus expanded to Orangeville and Georgetown with the takeover of the Petro Partners’ Orangeville operation.
In the winter of 2007 Bird Fuels Home Comfort division was founded and by 2010 the company acquired Simcoe Oil Burner Service and yet again expanded their business into a full service HVAC division! Our Home Comfort division provides heating, cooling and installation of high efficient oil, propane and natural gas HVAC equipment.
As history repeats itself once again, in 2012, Bird Fuels added a third division; Bird Fuels Propane. We recognized that the needs of our customers were changing. Propane as an energy source was growing popular and as a company we knew that great customer service meant that we must offer our customers a reliable and cost efficient source of propane. We also knew that our territory was in need of expansion!
Our territory now extends through the counties of Grey, Bruce, Simcoe, Dufferin, Peel, Halton, and Wellington. We also service Tobermory to the Toronto Airport; Port Elgin and Midland. We offer both the convenience of automatic scheduled delivery or will call delivery.
