The dock isn't in yet. The boat's still on the trailer. But you're already thinking about that first weekend up north — and the last thing you want is to drive three hours, fire up the grill, and find an empty propane tank.
Cottage country runs on propane. Hot water, stove, fridge, fireplace, BBQ, pool heater — pretty much everything that makes the place worth driving to. And from May through October, propane is what keeps the cottage running.
We've been delivering propane across Grey County, Bruce County, and Simcoe County for years. We know the back roads, the seasonal road bans, and which cottages need the small truck. Here's how to get sorted before opening weekend.
1. Schedule a Delivery Before You Drive Up
If your tank's been sitting since October, it's probably running on fumes. Call us a week or two before your first trip and we'll top you up so you're ready when you arrive.
Already had us out last fall? Check your tank gauge. If it's under 30%, book a refill. Below 20%, book it today.
2. Set Up Automatic Delivery
If you're at the cottage every weekend, automatic delivery is the easiest call you'll make all summer. We track your usage, plan our route through your area, and top you up before you run low. You don't think about it. The propane just shows up.
It's especially worth it for cottages with pool heaters, hot tubs, or full-time use through the season — those tanks empty faster than people expect.
3. Add a Tank Monitor for Peace of Mind
Cottages are the perfect place for a Bird's Eye View tank monitor. The monitor sits on your tank and reports the level back to us in real time. You don't have to call. You don't have to guess. We know when you're low, and we deliver before you run out.
If your cottage is hard to get to, only used part of the season, or shared between family members, a monitor pays for itself in saved emergency runs.
4. New Build or Old Tank? Time to Talk Installs
Building a bunkie? Replacing an old, rusty tank? Adding a new BBQ line off the deck?
We install 420 lb cylinders, 500 gallon, and 1,000 gallon tanks. We'll come out, look at the site, and recommend the right size for your setup. Spring is the best time to schedule it — installers fill up fast once the weather turns.
5. Don't Forget the Locked-In Pricing Program
Propane prices move with the market. Our locked-in pricing program holds your rate steady for the season, so you know exactly what you're paying — no surprises if the market jumps in July.
Worth a five-minute call to see if it's right for your usage.
